The painting shows a wintery scene in Hestercombe gardens in Somerset. Bare trees are silhouetted against a dramatic sky where the sun has broken through the clouds on the horizon. Climbing plants cover a row of stone arches in the foreground.
The size is 42 x 59cm (16.5 x 23.4in; A2 size), painted on stretched canvas. The piece will be sent with the canvas still on the stretcher, ready for display.
Painted with oil paints. The sides of the canvas are painted grey-blue to suit the artwork. Because it is finished in this way, there is no need to frame it (unless you want to!) and it can be displayed as-is.
